Hi all!

I am alive.
Because I don't post here a lot following me on Flickr will show the most recent activity... Most of the time that is...

So far this year I...
Moved out of home.

Changed job (and therefore how much moola I make so I cut back a bit on spending)

Found a lovely man, subsequently moved in with him :)

Kimono wise I haven't been doing much. Truthfully I've only done kitsuke once this year and I hadn't done it in so long that I basically forgot what I was doing!
I forgot my erishin, korin belt and how to tie an otaiko!
I'm now seriously considering going thru my collection and just making a few ensembles for occasions and keeping a few lovely pieces and selling/trading/giving away the rest.
If/when I decide what I'm doing I'll post it up here as well as my other haunts :Flickr, Immortal Geisha and Tsuruko Maiko.

So i haven't bought many kimono this year, I did buy a ro maiko hikizuri with grass motif and a beautiful darari obi tho, most notably.

I also bought a biyosugata but I haven't used it yet. I've been meaning to get one for ages tho.
I also bought some kanzashi:
Firstly a lovely uchiwa set for a maiko:

And a large spider kiku:
I'd like to collect all the different maiko kanzashi but that will probably take a while.

Of course I have still been collecting odori programmes and postcards and other things I thought would be of interest to viewers, which are on my Flickr so check them out if you want.
I still have many, many odori to scan in but as I moved state about a month ago I haven't had a chance to go home and get them all.
Hopefully I can do that soon when I go back in a month or so and possibly even a spring kitsuke!
Well... best not expect too much on that subject tho...

I don't think I have much more to say just now, but my love for kimono has been rekindled :)

I am glad to hear your kimono love is rekindled and congratulations on moving out and finding yourself a lovely man, aww! :)

I had a look on your flickr account and am interested in a few of the pieces in your 'for sale' section - hope it's alright to drop you a line about them here instead, as I don't have a flickr account yet. Those would be the tsukesage with the bellflowers, the cream nagoya obi with the hand painted scene and flowers, and the blue nagoya obi with the water scene and sakura.

Could you please give details of any stains, marks or other damage, and idea of price and an idea of postage costs please - I live in the UK. Thanks so much! :)

Hi :)
I'm glad that you've had a look thru my collection.
I don't actually have my kimono with me, I didn't bring all my possessions with me when I moved.
I will be picking my kimono up in a month or so and when I do I'll be deciding what items to keep and what not to so there might be other pieces your interested.
From memory: the bellflower one is in good condition, lovely piece.
The cream obi is not in the best condition, probably better off for crafts.
The blue one I think is also a bit stained in the cream sections but honestly I'd probably give you the two obi free if you wanted as I don't have space for them.
If your still interested I'll be able to tell you more when I go home and get them.
thanks for reading :)

Hi, thanks so much for your swift reply! I'd certainly be interested in hearing more about them and what other items you may have up for sale once you've sorted through your collection, so I'll keep and eye both on your blog and your flickr :)

Hi Laura,
I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to sort thru my kimono.
I have found the bellflower tsukesage and the cream obi but haven't found the blue obi yet.
The kimono is in great condition but the obis are better suited for crafts.
Let me know if you would like them, my email is kofuji@yahoo.com if you want to discuss it further,
Thankyou Jaki
